PokeOne Official Ladder Tournament

The PokeOne Official Ladder Tournament (OLT) is a recurring monthly tournament that gives players the opportunity to earn a spot in an 8-player playoff tournament through weekly ladder competition.

 

Qualification:
The qualification stage consists of four weekly periods each month. At the end of each week, the top 1–2 eligible players based on their weekly score will qualify for the tournament.
To be eligible, players must have signed up for the tournament through the PokeOne website. Each player may qualify only once. If a player who has already qualified finishes in a qualifying position during a later week, they will be skipped and the next highest-scoring eligible player will receive the qualification spot.

The goal is to have 8 unique players qualify by the end of the four-week qualification period. Qualification Structure:

  • Week 1: Top 1–2 eligible players qualify
  • Week 2: Top 1–2 eligible players qualify
  • Week 3: Top 1–2 eligible players qualify
  • Week 4: Top 1–2 eligible players qualify
  • 8 unique players advance to the tournament

Playoffs After the four qualification weeks, the 8 qualified players will enter a single-elimination playoff bracket.

  • Quarterfinals: Best of 1 (Bo1)
  • Semifinals: Best of 1 (Bo1)
  • Final: Best of 3 (Bo3)

The playoff dates and times will be announced in the schedule for each month’s tournament. This format rewards consistent ladder performance throughout the month while giving qualified players the opportunity to compete directly against one another in the playoffs.

 

How to Qualify:
To qualify for the PokeOne Official Ladder Tournament, players must first sign up for the tournament through the PokeOne website. Players will then compete on the ladder during each weekly qualification period and attempt to achieve the highest possible score.

At the end of each week, the top 1–2 eligible players with the highest scores will earn a spot in the monthly tournament.

  • Sign up for the tournament through the PokeOne website.
  • Compete on the ladder during the weekly qualification period.
  • Achieve as high a score as possible before the weekly deadline.
  • The top 1–2 eligible players will qualify for the tournament.
  • Players who have already qualified cannot qualify again.
  • If a previously qualified player finishes in a qualifying position, the next highest-scoring eligible player will receive the spot.
  • Qualification continues across all four weeks until 8 unique players have been selected.
  • Once 8 unique players have qualified, they will advance to the monthly playoff tournament.

Players are encouraged to participate throughout the entire qualification period, as qualifying early does not prevent them from continuing to compete on the ladder, but their subsequent scores will not result in an additional tournament qualification.

Gear up, trainers! We are excited to announce our upcoming 1v1 OverUsed (OU) Tournament! Whether you are looking to test a new team or prove your battle strategy under pressure, this is your chance to show what you’ve got.

Format: 1v1 OU (Standard Ladder Rules, Team Preview Enabled)

Match Times: Check the pager on the website for the exact date and time of your upcoming matches. Make sure to monitor your pager so you don’t miss your scheduled play time!

Important Reminders for Participants

Review the Rules: Check out the official Rules section before entering. Pay special attention to the 10-minute grace period, anti-stalling policy, and conduct guidelines.

Host Confirmation: Always confirm readiness with a Tournament Host before starting your match. Hosts will be joining as spectators to stream or record the action, especially for the Semi-Finals and Finals!

Report Your Results: Both players must notify a Tournament Host right after their match. We strongly recommend taking a quick screenshot of the end-of-game victory screen in case of any inconsistencies.

Rule Updates & Modifications

  • Subject to Change: Tournament rules may be updated or modified at any time. Players are strongly advised to check the rules regularly to stay informed of any changes.

Punctuality & Attendance

  • 10-Minute Grace Period: Players must be present and ready to play at their scheduled match time. Failing to appear within 10 minutes of the start time will result in an automatic forfeit.

Match Setup & Spectating

  • Host Confirmation: Before starting any match, both players must confirm readiness with a Tournament Host.

  • Spectators & Streaming: A Tournament Host may join your game as a spectator to stream or record the match, particularly for the Semi-Finals and Finals.

Game Rules & Settings

  • Standard Rules: Official in-game OverUsed (OU) Ladder rules apply to all tournament matches.

  • In-Game Battle Settings:

    • Ruleset: 1 vs 1 (OU)

    • Match Levels: Standard

    • Team Preview: Enabled

Server Outages & Technical Issues

  • Server Downtime: If the game server goes down or crashes during a match, the match is immediately declared invalid and must be replayed from the beginning—regardless of the match situation, remaining Pokemon, or who was winning at the time of the outage.

Player Conduct & Integrity

  • Respectful Communication: Contacting your opponent during or after a battle to taunt, harass, or trash-talk is strictly prohibited. Insulting behavior will result in an immediate tournament ban.

  • No Ghosting: Ghosting of any kind—having someone else advise, call plays, or assist you during a live match—is strictly forbidden.

Pacing & Anti-Stalling Policy

  • Fair Play: All matches must proceed in a timely manner. Unreasonable stalling (including deliberate time-, PP-, or switch-stalling) is strictly forbidden.

  • Evidence Requirement: Clear video evidence is required to report a stalling violation. Admins will not take action without valid video proof.

Match Results & Reporting

  • Reporting to Hosts: After every match, both players must contact a Tournament Host to confirm the final result.

  • Proof of Result: Players are strongly encouraged to take a screenshot of the end-of-game result screen to quickly resolve any disputes or inconsistencies.
