Hello to our wonderful Pokéone community. We understand that it has been a while since our last news letter, and we wanted to fix that. There are been many changes in-game, and we wanted to address them here and give some explanation for the changes. We also wanted to give you and update on our progress with Sinnoh development.
New DevEloper
We are excited to announce a new addition to the PokeOne development team: Mikan! Please join us in congratulating her and welcoming her to our team.
Mikan has always been a prominent voice within our community, and we are thrilled to have her on board. Her dedication and deep understanding of our player base will be invaluable in enhancing our communication and engagement with the community. With Mikan’s help, we aim to foster a stronger connection and ensure that we continue to meet the needs and expectations of our players. Mikan has put in timeless hours upon hours for the development of our game. From testing all events, to playing the original games for teams, dialogue, and maps for our game, she has been an amazing assets to us.
Welcome, Mikan! We look forward to achieving great things together.
Homepage Changes
After the Easter event, we upgraded our webhost for the Pokeonecommunity.com website. In doing this, we lost some of the guides that had previously been posted. The website team is working very hard to bring back all guides, and a new and improved version of the online Pokedex. We hope to have these done soon. You will also see our new banner for the website now says Pokéone, and we have a new color pallet for the home page. Once again, we would like to thank everyone who put the hard work into the new website, and we can’t wait to see what it will look like once it’s finished.
In other exciting news, we have successfully migrated our homepage to a new host along with the domain. This change allows us to leverage Cloudflare, bringing several advantages to our website:
- Enhanced Security: Cloudflare provides advanced security features, protecting our site from DDoS attacks and other cyber threats.
- Improved Performance: With Cloudflare’s CDN, our website will load faster and more efficiently for users around the globe.
- Increased Reliability: Cloudflare ensures our site remains accessible even during high traffic periods or potential server issues.
Unfortunately, our new Pokedex is still a work in progress. We are currently refining our data queries, search filters, and the overall design to ensure the best possible experience for our users.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to Sini, who approached us and has been a tremendous help with the homepage. His support and hard work have been invaluable in this transition.
Thank you for your patience and continued support as we work to bring you these exciting updates.
Dream World
A nice change in the game was that we decided to change the entry of Dream of Grass from 2 Dream mist down to 1. The dream world has been in the game long enough now that having it at 2 dream mist per entry was no longer required. We hope that everyone will take advantage of this, and continue to fight Darkrai everyday.
HOld Items removed
We have made an important update regarding Hold Items in the game. All Hold Items previously available as Hidden Items have been removed. However, don’t worry—they will be reintroduced soon through different game mechanics. Our plan is to bring these items back via random PvE drops and a PvP shop, ensuring a more balanced and engaging way for players to obtain them. Additionally, this ensures that players will be able to obtain these items using their main accounts, rather than creating numerous alternate accounts to farm items.
We have decided to remove Lady Everell from the game. We felt that the mechanic of distributing these items through a random factor was not ideal. This change will lead to a more predictable and fair distribution of items. Another reason for these adjustments is our ongoing battle against bots in the Battle Frontier. Bots have been farming Battle Points, which undermines the integrity of the game. By removing the random item drops and adjusting the mechanics, we aim to make it less attractive for bots while still providing valuable rewards for genuine players.
We hope that the remaining opportunities will continue to make it worthwhile for players to engage with the various facilities in the Battle Frontier.
Sinnoh Update
We are thrilled to announce that we are nearing completion of the Sinnoh region! This has been an extensive project, and a tremendous amount of work has gone into it. Our Game Masters and Community Mods have begun thorough testing to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players. While we are close to finishing, there are still a few final touches needed to perfect everything.
Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional experience, even after you have completed the main storyline. To give you a glimpse of what’s to come, we have prepared some images for you. Additionally, you can watch a video by Bagon, who showcased the first few badges on stream.
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your continued support and patience as we finalize the Sinnoh region!
